It’s the little things

Since I have a few bigger projects that are either giving me fits or I am just not willing to tackle right now, I am focusing on some smaller stuff. I also live about 20min from all the wonderful thrift shops in my area. So getting out and searching for treasures sometimes doesn’t happen as often as I would like it to, actually it never happens as much as I would like to. All you thrift store junkies know what I’m talking about!
In my most recent treasure hunting trip I found a very cool silver goblet. I love the patina!!!

I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I had a some greenery that I got at Michael’s with that great 40% off coupon that I was just itching to use for something. I got a styrofoam ball and spray painted it green (I didn’t want any of the white to show through the leaves). Then I stuck every little branch into the styrofoam ball. Every…..little…..branch. This took a little while. I do love how it turned out!!!

Have you even seen a Ballard Designs catalogue or gone to their site? They have beautiful stuff but they are a little pricey! They have these boxwood topiaries that I love and the “dome” one is $49!!! I think I love mine more and at a fraction of the cost! Got to LOVE that!!!

  4. I am absolutely doing this (2 of them, actually) for my master bath! I didn’t want anything glass or ceramic because of the tile floor and this will be perfect.

  5. Ooh, I love this! *bookmark*
