Kid’s Art Display

If you have kids then you have lots of artwork of all sorts floating around the house. My daughter LOVES to color, paint, glue, and cut. She’s quite possibly a chip off the old block! So we have an exuberant amount of artwork in the house at all times. I figured she (and her brother) needed a place to display their newest or most prized masterpiece. My source of inspiration came when I saw those big clothespins at the craft store, for some reason I think they are so cute!
This is what I started with (I was making two, one for each kid):
-2 Wood Plaques
-2 Large Clothespins
-2 Pages of scrapbook paper
-Paint in coordinating colors
-Mod Podge
-Gorilla Glue
First I painted the edges around the plaques and the clothespins. While that was drying I measured the area I wanted to cover and cut out my paper to fit:

Then I Mod Podged the plaque and the back of the paper and attached the paper to the plaque. I then Mod Podged over the whole thing and let that dry:
Next I cut out my letters with my Cricut (you could skip this step if you don’t have a cutting machine OR you could use chipboard, stickers, or print and cut out letters) and Mod Podged them on:
Once that was dry I used Gorilla Glue to attach the clothespin to the plaque. I clamped it down and left it for a couple hours:
Here are the completed plaques:
