Last bit of Halloween

I am normally not a HUGE Halloween person. I like Halloween, I just usually don’t go nuts for it! I’m not into the spooky stuff so in the past I have felt like I am limited in my Halloween decor, but this year I have had more inspiration then I know what to do with! To be honest, I wish I could keep creating! I guess I’ll have to save some for next year.
So I will leave you with these last two final touches!
I LOVE having a seasonal wreath on my door! It makes me happy to come home to a super cute door! I was so happy to find an idea for a cute Halloween wreath this year because the one I had was…..well…..lame!
I got one of those twisted wood wreaths from the $1 store and sprayed it black (in case any of it shows through). I bought 4 different fabrics and cut them into about 1″ strips (to make it easy on myself and to get the tattered look, I cut a little line on the top of the fabric every inch and then ripped the fabric into strips). I then double knotted the strips of fabric all around the wreath. I painted and added the word “BOO”, tying the letters on with some of the strips of fabric.
You’ve probably seen something similar done before, but it was too cute to resist!!!

I bought this little decorative “gate” at a consignment store a couple weeks ago. I instantly fell in love with it! I have it hanging by my front door and it normally sits plain, and I love it’s shabby simplicity! BUT since I seem to be in the mood to Halloweenify (ya it’s a word! What?) the place I thought I would add a little sumthin sumthin to it.
I made a mini burlap “BOO” banner like I did for my mantle. Then I just adorned the gate with more ribbon and bows. I think it’s cute….I’m not sure if I’m sold on it yet or not. I just tied the ribbons on so they can be easily removed after Halloween (or when I decide I don’t really like it!).

So now that I’m calling this the END of the Halloween projects I am just itching to get started on Christmas crafts! Is it too early? When do YOU start working on Christmas stuff? I may crank out a couple more fall themed items before I make the Christmas transition….we shall see!!!
