Taking a Little Break

As I have mentioned before, we are a military family and if there is one thing a military family does a lot is MOVE. We have known for a few weeks now that we would be moving into a new house on base because they are tearing down our current home. We get our keys on Thursday.
This alone would be enough to need to take a crafting break. But yesterday we found out that my Grandpa passed away. My Grandpa passed away 7 weeks (to the day) after my Grandma, his wife. So after dealing with loosing her 7 weeks ago we find ourselves reeling again.
So needless to say, for the next couple weeks we will be dealing with a funeral and moving! You won’t be hearing much from me but I look forward to getting back to somewhat of a normal way of life on the flipside!

  2. I am so sorry that you lost both your grandparents in such a short period of time. We are retired military and we know all about the moving game, but I found it exciting every time we moved to a new place. How I wish we had computers and blogging back then, it would have made life much simpler.

  3. I just recently started reading your blog, and I just had to leave a comment because we have some common stressors right now. First, I am really sorry for your loss. My grandmother passed away yesterday, and I too am in the middle of a move from North Carolina to Georgia. Isn’t it amazing, when you’re going through a lot of stress you feel like you’re the only one, and then you stumble upon someone else going through exactly the same thing. I pray it gets better for you and may God bless you!

  4. Sorry for your loses. Thank you and your hubby for your service to our country!
