Wine Cork Topiary

I attended my first craft fair yesterday as a vendor and I would say it was a success!!! I really enjoyed myself and got a lot of great feedback, it was really encouraging!!! I will post pictures of my set up and my “booth” in a few days!
Speaking of the craft fair, while I was getting ready for it I kept looking at a jar full of wine corks that I had sitting around waiting for a project. I knew I didn’t have enough for a BIG project but I still wanted to do SOMETHING with them. A couple days before the show it came to me….a wine cork topiary!
So I gathered items that I had in my “stash” (you know, I was always hearing people refer to their stash and I would wonder how they had so much stuff just laying around that they could just shop their own inventory, but now I get it!!!). This is what I used:
Flower pot
Black paint (for flower pot)
3 wood dowels (for the “stem”)
Brown paint (for the wood dowels)
Floral foam (inside the flower pot)
Styrofoam ball (to glue the corks to)
Spanish moss (to cover the foam)
Some hot glue (to secure the “stem”, moss, and corks)
A little ribbon
And of course…..WINE CORKS!!!
I think it turned out really cute! It would make a great addition in a wine lovers home!!!
