Embroidery Hoop Card Holder

So I have yet ANOTHER way to display those holiday greeting cards! They will probably start rolling in any minute! Of course we haven’t even taken our pictures yet for our cards! A little behind the 8 ball this year….but I WILL GET THEM OUT!!!
Anyways, so I was totally in love with the idea of using an embroidery hoop as a card holder once I saw the idea at Katydid and Kid. Super cute right? And wouldn’t you know it, I found an embroidery hoop at the thrift store!!! I think it’s smaller than the one used but I like it just the same!!!
I of course wanted to put my own twist on it! So I painted the hoop red! I’m not a huge fan of just plain wood so I thought this was more…me!

I added a fun green polka dot ribbon to the top to serve as a way to hang the hoop and to cover up the metal screw at the top.
Even though it’s a bit smaller it can still hold a fair amount of cards! Notice the clothes pins? I used the same technique as I did for the clothes pins on the tomato cage. I simply used Fabri-Tac (have I ever mentioned how much I love this stuff?) to attach ribbon to the tops of the pins! I love how just a little effort can create something so cute!

I liked it SO much I made another one using different ribbons!
Aren’t they fun? Thanks for stopping by!!!
