Wine Bottle Hurricanes

Well I’m back in action, sort of. Most of our house is put into place but my garage and craft area still are in need of major work. Slowly but surely we will return to some sort of normalcy. Thank you ALL for your kind words during what has been one of the most difficult times in my life!
Well last night I participated in a wine event, selling my “wine” inspired crafts. I would like to showcase one of them for you and I will post more about the show later on.
The truth is, I don’t like wine. Or at least I haven’t found one that I do like. BUT I do love wine bottles and corks! Not that long ago I bought a bottle cutter for this very purpose, it did take some time to get up the nerve to attempt to cut the bottoms off of the bottles (that’s where my very helpful hubby comes in).
We cut the bottoms off of the bottles, gave them some sanding to soften the edges a bit! Place some candles inside them and you have a beautiful glowing centerpiece!
Using different colored bottles gives different looks. You can dress them up with different colored chargers and other fun accents to sprinkle around them.
I just love the glow of the candles from inside the glass! It gives such a beautiful and soothing glow and THAT is much appreciated these days!
Hope you enjoyed and thanks for sticking with me!
