{JOY} on a Pedestal

Joy can be defined as the feeling of happiness and/or extreme cheerfulness. I think that Christmas time is chalk full of joy (at least for me anyway). Still as an adult, I feel like this time of year is so magical! I love it all!
Most of you have probably seen the pedestals made using different items, but usually some candle sticks and finials are involved! Well I love them! So I had to try my hand at them. I used candle sticks (some I bought at the thrift store and some I bought at the craft store), $1 store picture frames, and some finials.
I painted the candlesticks and the finials to match, using ‘ole faithful, Heirloom White! I used a bright red for the frames. I’m loving working with the red this holiday season because I usually use a lot of neutrals, so a bright color is a nice change!
A little polka dot scrapbook paper and red lettering ala my Cricut adds such a fun, whimsical feel.
I love them, so I did another set! I did the same basic thing except I used different paper and lettering. I’m just loving the polka dots!

Sorry about the bad lighting….sometimes you get busy doing stuff that you miss your good light! But I think you still get the idea!
Does the Christmas season bring you JOY?
