My Latest Thrifty Finds

So I’ve been wanting to post about the goodies that I bought up while vacationing. It’s funny, when I go to visit someone in a different part of the country all I can think about is “I wonder what their thrift stores have?”. It might be an illness.
Anywho, here is a pile of stuff that I scored while treasure hunting. Yes you do see 4 cheese cloches, well for the most part. One is missing a base and another one just has a glass plate for the base. I wish I could tackle all the potential projects that I see in this picture right now; but there are things like my kids and the laundry and eating. So I must pace myself!
Here is a second pile. I didn’t buy that trunk though, my mom gave it to me. It was my grandfather’s trunk that he brought back from WWII. I’m hoping I can do something pretty awesome with it! See that broken table? Yes it’s broken. It was broken but fixed when I bought it. We re-broke it. Why? Because they had fixed it with hot glue…..I’ll wait for you to process that one! You can still see the chunks of hot glue left behind! Oey!
Also, did you see my very first linky party? Go here to check it out and link up your latest projects!

  9. Fun finds! You need some gorilla wood glue for that table! The trunk is my favorite…what a great piece of history and family.

  10. Did you ever do anything with that trunk? I’ve been scouring the internet looking for ideas for one I have and would rather learn from someone else’s mistakes than make my own. 😉
