Valentine Rag Wreath

Several months ago my mom passed down a bunch of random things that she was cleaning out of her home. One of these things was a wicker heart wreath. I decided to use it as the base for a rag wreath, like the one I did for Halloween. Normally I wouldn’t want to use something so thick as the base, but it was free! Can’t pass up free!
I bought up some pink, white, and black fat quarters at my local fabric store. I ended up only using half of each piece, so I have enough to do another one!
I used the same technique for ripping the strips of fabric as I did with my Christmas wreath. I just double knotted the strips of fabric all around the wreath, alternating the different patterns.
I love how it turned out, it’s so cute and girly! As a rule I try not to have a lot of pink in our decor, it’s for the hubby’s sanity! But Valentine’s day is a great excuse to bring a little girly flare!!!

I also recently found this cute blog called Naptime Crafters. They are having a craft challenge called American Crafter. I’m linking up my Window Ornament Holder. Head over and check out the crafting fun!
