The Art of Specimen Art

Once upon a time specimen art was what you saw pictured above. I think my Grandparents had something similar. Well you’ve probably notice the new trend in specimen art that’s popping up all over blog land. I think the new take on specimen art is a lot cuter and a lot more insect friendly! There are SO many options; by simply mixing up the shapes, papers, and frames you can have a totally different look. Not to mention one of a kind!
Check out some of these awesome specimen art projects…..
Pumpkin Specimen Art by Embellishing Life
“Creepy” Specimen Art by Tatertots and Jello
Snowflake Specimen Art by Racks and Mooby
Heart Specimen Art by Crafty Girls Workshop
Butterfly Art by First Lady of the House
Shamrock Specimen Art by Dandelions and Dust Bunnies
I really should try my hand at making some of these. I am a total sucker for holiday/seasonal decorating! I think I just got inspired! If you have a specimen art project that isn’t pictured here please feel free to add the link in the comments section!
Also, Time to Shine features are up and don’t forget, the party begins again tomorrow!
