Red Velvet Oreos & a Day at the Beach

Today has been a great day! We took the family to the beach here on base. Yes we have a private beach meant just for base personal, which means we usually are one of only a few people there. It really is pretty awesome!

We took a packed lunch and had a great time enjoying some family time!
During nap time I attempted to make some Red Velvet covered Oreos that I found over at 3 Four and Under. I wanted to send some goodies with the hubs to work tomorrow and these seemed perfect!
I grabbed some Red Velvet cake mix and Golden Oreos.
I mixed up the cake mix per the direction on the back of the box (although I did use egg beaters instead of eggs).
Then I begun dipping the cookies into the batter, making sure they were fully covered.
Once covered with cake batter I placed them in a muffin tin, sprayed with cooking spray. I then baked them @ 350 for 10 minutes.
When they’re done they looked like little cakes. I let them cool for a few minutes and then removed them with a spoon.
I then melted some white chocolate in a Ziploc bag and drizzled it over the cookies.
They turned out so good and so yummy!!!

Yummmmmm!!!!
