Lamp Revamp with Fabric Flower Shade

I’m sure you remember these lamps, since I just posted about finding them last week! I have been looking for months for some new lamps for our bedroom….so once I found these beauties I just couldn’t wait!
I used some steel wool to clean up the lamps a bit and rough up the surface. Then I grabbed some plastic bags and painters tape to cover the cord and electrical parts. I had some blue paint left over from my Spring Apothecary Jars that I thought would look great in our room.
I used the lampshades from our old lamps. Do you notice the “artwork” on one of them? A couple years ago my daughter thought this would be so pretty…..and there it has stayed ever since! They obviously needed a makeover too but I wasn’t sure really want I wanted to do. I finally decided to do a mixture of fabric flowers.
Here they are, all done!
I think the flowers came out great! I used burlap, muslin, and some blue poly satin fabric to create the different flowers. I just used hot glue to attach them to the shade.
Here they are all lit up, I love their glow!
It sure is a vast improvement from where they started!
