Shabby to Chic Menu Board

Last week I posted about a raggedy old beer menu chalkboard that I picked up while thrifting. It was pretty ugly but the frame was in good condition and I knew it had potential!
Since I had just finished a batch of magnetic chalkboards the other day, I had some sheet metal leftover. I know, I know! Another magnetic chalkboard!? What can I say, this one was demanding it!
I removed the old shabby chalkboard and had the hubby cut a piece of the sheet metal to fit in the frame. Using DecoArt’s Chalkboard paint, I painted the sheet metal.
I gave the frame a face lift with Rustoleum’s Heirloom White. I think it makes the black chalkboard really pop. I just love the detail at the top of the frame!
Wouldn’t this make a fantastic menu board?
