Guest Post {Dandelions and Dust Bunnies}

Today we are happy to have Kathy from Dandelions and Dust Bunnies……..

Hi, I’m Kathy from Dandelions and Dust Bunnies.  My back yard at the moment is speckled with those pesky dandelions (time to bust out the weed killer) and I’m sure I can find a few dust bunnies here and there in my house.  So that’s how I came up with my blog – in hopes of weeding out the bad and replacing it was fun crafts, recipes, thrift store find remakes and home decor projects that are a little more pleasing to the eye.
Today I wanted to share a project that has been sitting in my garage for the last year – seriously it only took me a year to finally get around to making this display post.  I first saw this idea here.  I had a 4-foot 4×4, two end caps, wood glue and a hook.

I attached the two end caps with some wood glue and then let it sit 24 hours to make sure it was good and dry.
I painted it white with some semi-gloss paint I had on hand, but you could spray paint it.  I put on two coats.
I added a hook I picked up at Home Depot.
I found this USA sign at the Dollar Tree that I hung from the hook for now.  You could also hang a welcome sign or even a wreath.
Now it’s ready to display on your porch or deck.
Thanks Courtney for letting me share my fence post project and for motivating me to get my garage cleaned out.
