A Different Kind of Wreath

So I guess it’s time to let the Spring wreath take a rest until next year. Although I was totally digging the whole “framed” wreath look! So I decided that my summer wreath needed to include a frame….and some chevron action….and some rosettes….and some yellow and blue!!!
I knew I wanted to use a fun yellow and white chevron fabric that I found HERE. So I decided to spray paint a cheap 11×14 picture frame a bright blue. I was basically inspired by the sun and sky.
I cut out “Sunny Days” using my Cricut in coordinating colors. I’m kinda hoping the saying summons the real thing; it’s cool, cloudy, and we’ve even had rain this past week.
I rolled up some fabric rosettes for the corner of the frame. I used some of the leftover chevron fabric for one of the rosettes. I’m just loving these color combinations!!! It feels so fresh and sunny!
I attached a strip of white fabric (the same as I used for the large white rosette) and looped it through the hook in the back used for hanging the frame on the wall. I tied it off in a bow and hung it on my wreath hanger.
This project sorta evolved throughout the process and I really like how it ended up! So whaddya think of this different take on a door wreath?
