Thrifty Thursday #15

Another week down, more thrifty finds found!
I was trolling one of my usual spots when I found this coffee table. My current coffee table is going to my mom’s house, so I am in need of a replacement. When I saw this one I knew it had great potential and for $15 it was a great bargain! Now what do I want to do with it?

While doing a little antiquing with my hubby I spotted this great old wash board. I don’t know what it is about wash boards that I like so much, I think this one is going to my Antique sale on the 16th!
I also picked up some old wood spools. I think these are going to the antique sale too…..I should have bought more!
Check out these cool old bottle caps! I love all there bright colors and nostalgia! I’m thinking they would make great magnets, don’t you?

So what have you found lately? Anything totally awesome?

  1. love all the finds. the coffee table is a great shape.

  2. I have that same exact table! I love it! I inherited it from my dad when he moved years ago. I painted the legs an off white and added some glaze. I’m thinking about staining the top a little darker.

  3. 🙂 It was half off week this week, at my local thrift store, so I bought an early edition of Cheaper by the Dozen, a gorgeous crystal deep round vase, and a vintage teapot for my daughter’s upcoming Cupcake and Tea party! All for 8 dollars! 🙂

  4. Too funny.. I just bought a vintage lot of bottle caps this past weekend. Now to get pics and get them listed in the shop! Can’t wait to see how your table turns out. xo

  5. i have the same table sitting in the corner of my craft room and i can’t decide what to do with it.. mine was free so i can’t bring myself to getting rid of it before it is all prettified.. any suggestions?

  6. Awesome finds!!! I love those wooden spools…I’ve never seen those before. I think magnets will be great for the bottle caps. Also, the washboard would look so cute in the laundry room. You’ve inspired me to look for one to put in ours. LOL I think you have so many possibilities with the table. Can’t wait to see pics when you are done.
