Thrifty Thursday #25

Welcome to my 300th post!!! 300!!! That’s a lot of projects, pictures, editing, link parties, and Thrifty Thursdays! Oh my! I love hitting these milestones because it makes me remember how I felt when I first started  this blog and the thought of blogging my 300th post when I was writing my second post couldn’t even enter my thought process.
So let’s get on with this 300th post why don’t we? So I did a little thrifting over the weekend and found a few goodies! I bought this silver pitcher for $5 at a random parking lot sale. I love tarnished silver pieces and I am on the hunt for more! I have big plans for an event that I’m planning for early next year!
I was so happy to find these two small ornate picture frames. The hunt for ornate frames is always on, obviously larger ornate frames are highly desired but I have found that finding small ornate frames are very hard to find. I’m wanting to do a gallery wall and I think these will come in very handy!
I found yet another glass cloche, but no base. To be honest the last several glass cloches that I have found haven’t had bases to them. So I might need to start getting creative….like make a silver platter like the one I found about a foot away from the glass cloche???
When your pursuing places like Micheal’s do you stop by the clearance area to scope out goodies? If you don’t you should! I found these plaster urns filled with some half missing tired silk flowers.
I didn’t care for the flowers but I really liked the urns and they were 70% off. So they were $3 and for that I was definitely getting them, plus I had a coupon for an additional 20% off my purchase. I’m going to rip out all the flowers and find something fun to do with them!!!
So there you have it, my thrifty finds for the week! Have you found anything awesome lately? What are you on the search for? Me? I’m searching for a half dress form….what are the chances that I’ll just stumble upon on one of these days? Hummm!
Linking up to these great link parties!!!

  5. What great treasures–I need to get over to the thrift store and see what I can find! Congratulations on your 300th post!

  6. I love the glass cloche with the silver platter! I’m going to start trying to hunt down my own mix-matched set. I think it’s prettier than a matching set myself.

  7. Being so new myself, it is great to hear that someday I will make it! Someday I might be posting my 300th post! I love your finds, the frames are amazing! I have been wanting to do a frame project involving some cardboard trophy heads from cardboardsafari.com to combine the animal person with the thrift person within me!

  8. Love your post and finds. Are you going to put family pictures in the frames? I like the glass cloche…what ideas do you have to put in them? One more question….what is a half dress form?

  9. I love the small frames! Every time I am in our resale shop they want a fortune for them – UGHH! You have a great eye for thrifting, I always enjoy your weekly finds. Congratulations on your 300th post!

  10. I would’ve snagged all those things too! Love the tarnish and textural things. 🙂
