A Little Booth To Call My Own

It has been insane around here lately! Let me start at the beginning.
Awhile back I came to the conclusion that I really wanted to rent a space somewhere. A place that I could put my stuff and leave it there, a place that could have customers coming and going all the time, and a little place that I could call my own. I didn’t know that finding that place would be a very difficult process. I checked out a few places and the only place that I really liked had a mile long waiting list.
Well less than 2 weeks ago I got a call from the owner of the shop that I liked the best. The owner was expanding his store and he was able to take on more vendors. I jumped at the chance. The only problem, the owner was wanting to get the addition opened up in time for holiday shopping. That meant I only had days to get my stuff together and get it in the space.
Here is what my space looked like as I started bringing my stuff in (I will apologize now for the poor lighting!!!). So I basically grabbed everything that I had ready to sell and crammed it into the booth. The main problem with that is I have two craft fairs coming up in December and no inventory! Small problem! It’s so worth it though!
Here is what my space looks like all filled up. I am sure that this booth will be ever evolving, every time something sells and every time I bring in something new. But for now this is what it looks like!
So now I have to get going on building my inventory back up for my upcoming shows and ideally my Etsy shop too.  I am SO super excited for this opportunity and SO nervous at the same time. We’re not open yet, but I will keep you all updated!!!
The store is called Sweet Repeats and it’s located at:
110 W Ocean Ave
Lompoc, Ca. 93436

  11. It looks so cute! You did a wonderful job pulling everything together. I had a similar experience in having to get my inventory together quickly when a spot opened up with just 2 weeks notice. I pulled a few big pieces from my house, hoping they wouldn’t sell before I got replacement inventory. Best of luck to you…and go hit those sales! Love your ladder shelf.

  12. Woohoo! Booths are fun! And frustrating sometimes, but… they’re fun! It looks inviting. You’re sure to do well. And yes, it will certainly be ever changing and evolving.

  13. Best of luck on your new venture. I’m considering renting a space too! I’m nervous/excited at the idea! I love the look you pulled together and that you were able to put some “crafty” things in with the vintage. I was worried about how I would incorporate both. Great job!
