Burlap {Coffee Sack} Chair

I’m a stash busting super woman!
I am on a mission to tackle all the to-do projects that have been lying around for years months. Today I’m showing off my latest check off my list, this Burlap Coffee Sack Chair.
This is how the chair started out. Clearly it’s old. I’m sure there are some people that like it the way it is, I however have a hard time keeping things the way they are. If it’s not nailed down it’s getting painted….or mod podged….or something.
I removed the existing seat and gave the chair a paint job. Can you guess the color? I bet you can. I used Heirloom White by Rustoleum.
The chair cushion also got a makeover. I dug into my big stack of burlap sacks and picked out an awesome coffee sack. I love the large bold writing on the bag. It kinda reminds me of some awesome subway art.
I gave the whole chair a really good distressing with some gritty sandpaper. Why oh why is distressing furniture so much fun? It literally makes me happy to knock paint off of freshly painted projects. I think this officially makes me a DIY nerd.
So there you have it, my Burlap Coffee Sack Chair. All creamy white, chippy, burlap covered goodness!
