Thrifty Thursday #38

Welcome to another edition of Thrifty Thursday! I tried to keep it pretty mellow this week. I haven’t been hitting many thrift stores lately. Partly because I’ve been pretty busy, but mostly because I have too many “to-do’s” hanging around taking up space.
This is my haul for the week! I was thrilled to find another wooden highchair. I know, I still have one sitting in my garage collecting dust. Maybe I will give one a girly makeover and one a boy-ish makeover. Decisions decisions!
I have been slightly obsessed with old luggage. I made my Vintage Suitcase Table awhile back and I’ve got a stack of vintage suitcases going in my garage right now. I picked both up for $1. I may just gather a few up and pop them into my booth. I also found this old chippy tool box. Industrial chic!
I also scored this awesome wood quilt rack. I’ve never seen one quite like it, with removable poles. It was a bargain at $2 though. Can’t wait to slap some paint on it!
So what thrifty finds have you…..found lately???
Linking up to these great link parties!!!

  1. Like all your finds……but I especially like the old tool box. Hey, it’s white, it’s chippy. Fun pieces. Im now following you. Please come visit me at PICKINandPAINTIN.blogspot.com and maybe you’ll follow back. THANKS..

  2. I was drawn right off to your little tool box. I cannot get enough of such things. I could’ve scored a great metal box today but my goal was to cut through the path of junk that is building, so I had to just say no. I’m envious of your finds though. All I ended up with was piles of wood from assorted curbside pickin’s. I found your link at Twigg Studios.

  3. I particularly love the wooden highchair; my parents have the exact highchair in there attic (which I will get for when I have children). So I’m especially excited to see what you do with them so that it will give me ideas on how to make mine to be cuter.

  4. You did have some good luck! I’m still working on a stack of suitcases. This week I found a giant apothecary jar, some old frames and a huge piece of old redwood I made into a sign. I love the hunt!

  5. Came over from Live, Laugh… I cannot believe this -you collect the same things I do. I use the high chairs in the yard to hold ferns. Come over to visit me to see just a wee part of my collection of tool and tackle boxes. Love the white paint on this one! I have been junk sober for seven days except for a slip buying a $2 frame. I am hoping to make it for another week. Meanwhile, I have been shopping in and around my house. It is truly amazing what I have found! Happy Hunting!
