Time to Shine {Party} No 70

As I mentioned yesterday, on Friday the hubby and I went on a little adventure minus the kiddos. We ventured a little more north up the California coast to Hearst Castle. It was the first time that either of us had been there and we had so much fun!

As you can see, it is breathtakingly beautiful. Everything is so ornate and extravagant. I mean just look at the outside of this place. The inside of the home is just as extravagant and it’s just filled with art, statues, and antiques.

This was the dining room. Can you imagine sitting here and eating dinner with the likes of Charlie Chaplin, Cary Grant and Greta Garbo?

So if your home is that spectacular you can’t have a little wadding pool can you? No of course not, you need one surrounded by columns, statues, and waterfalls! It is called the Neptune pool and it looked good enough to jump right in.

Here is my hubby and I taking in the sweet smells of the beautiful garden. As you can see, it was a beautiful day and we really enjoyed ourselves!
Ok, ok enough chatting! Time to party!!!

  6. Thanks for hosting such a great link party!

    Have a wonderful week 🙂

  7. Glad you both got a little R&R – great pictures and yes, Hearst Castle is amazing – although I always feel like if I lived there I’d never remember if I left the scissors in the west wing or the east wing.
Thanks, as always, for the party.

  8. I have been to Hearst Castle twice and it is quite a sight! Oh what unlimited amounts of money can buy! I loved the story of how they could be having dinner with Churchill but have the ketchup bottle plunked right on the table, lol!

  9. Courtney,
Hearst Castle is gorgeous. I LOVE the many pools. Wouldn’t you love to host a party there?
Thanks for hosting this party 🙂 Have a great week!

  10. Courtey, thanks for the trip down memory lane. I went to Hearst Castle about 30 years ago (I can’t possibly be that old!) Thanks, too for a great party!

  11. Thanks so much for a great party – first time!!!
