{DIY} Window Ornament Holder

A couple years ago I created my Window Ornament Holder. I have received so many compliments, comments, and pins from this one post. So many people were hunting for windows that they could turn into ornament holders. I decided that I would make a few of these beauties to sell so maybe others could enjoy theirs as much as I’ve enjoyed mine!
I started out with a smaller square window from my massive window stash. It was going to be perfect for what I needed….only one thing missing: slats!!! We can’t hang any ornaments without slats!
As luck would have it, I have a few broken crib pieces lying around! Oh and a handy hubby!!! He cut some of the crib spindles down to fit lengthwise into the window. Then he routed out some little notches into the back of the window and glued the spindles into them.
Here is a close up of his handy work! We used some Gorilla wood glue to attach the spindles into the notches.
When the glue was dry it was time to get my paint on! I obviously choose to paint the window a bright Christmasy red. What else?
I added some white cup hooks to the tops of each slat by just screwing them in. All that’s left is simply hanging your favorite Christmas ornaments!!! I ended up making 3 of these to sell. I hope they all find loving homes!!!
So even if you can’t find the perfect window to create your own Window Ornament Holder, you can make one yourself!
