Thrifty Thursday #63

Thrifty Thursday Finds

The thrifty finds haven’t exactly been flowing in lately. Which is part by design, part lack of good stuff. I have a lack of opportunities on places to sell my goodies these days. Finding a full time booth has proven difficult. The good news is I’ve found a couple good shows to do in the local area so things are finally moving. So as things go out, I get the itch for new projects to work on. Enter my current Thrifty Thursday Finds…..

I scored these chairs for $8 each. Good deal riiiiight? I just have no idea how to recover these beauties! I’ve only done the super simple chair seat re-upholstery jobs. Any great tutorials you want to share?

On the way to Hobby Lobby (way too many of my sentences start that way!) I came upon an Estate Sale sign. And in a “squirrel” moment I followed the signs. Estate sales are always a mixed bag and you never know what you will find. Luckily I found this sweet little table for $12. Since I wasn’t expecting to attend an estate sale I barely had enough cash to cover it. I’m bad about having cash on me anymore.

So there ya have it….three awesome Thrifty Thursday Finds. Now the hard part begins and I have to decide what to do with them. Any thoughts on what kind of makeovers they should get?

Linking up to these great link parties!!!

Here’s a recent makeover I did on this coffee table. By looking at the before of this Round Pallet Coffee Table you would never guess what a beautiful table it turned into!

  1. Hi! Love your chairs. Have you thought of chalk painting the upholstery instead of re covering them? I did t his with a chair last year and the result was outstanding! I read several tutorials about it before I did it and I was quite nervous about doing it but was very surprised about how easy it was and how good it looked.

    • Yes I have Hosanna. I’m just trying to decide what would be better? Reupholstering these is a scary thought though. I guess I could try painting it and if that fails I can try to reupholster it?

Those chairs are awesome! Check out the Miss Mustard Seed for uphostering ideas. She shows how to do chairs like this and even I with a bum right hand am inspired to try it.

  3. Glad to hear you found some local shows to do! I too have had that frustration of not being able to find an outlet for the stuff I work on. You end up passing up good deals (which kills me)cause you don’t have space to store them etc etc. Great finds! (and, sorry, I have no clue how to recover those chairs either but I’m sure you’ll do something great).
