A Ladder Gallery

A few months ago a friend and I visited ReStore for the first time. I of course walked out with quite a few great finds. One of which was a ladder, I’m going to assume a bunk bed ladder.
It sat in my garage for quite some time while I tried to figure out what I was going to do with it. While getting ready for a show I was perusing my “stash”, pulling out potential projects. I decided that this ladder needed a new life stat.
And I guess in this twisted brain of mine, I look at a ladder and see a hanging art gallery!
I grabbed a couple $1 store picture frames to hang from the ladder. I stained the frames with a dark walnut stain and then painted them the same Heirloom White as the ladder.
I took some sandpaper and distressed both the ladder and the picture frames.
Using a few white hooks, I attached the picture frames with some pretty off white lacey ribbon.
There you have it! A pretty easy project and I love the end product!
It would fit perfectly into the corner of a room, a place where a hole needs to be filled. It could even be hung up on the wall, or even turned sideways and the hooks moved. The pictures can easily be changed out and the whole gallery can be moved around easily without a bunch of holes in the wall! What’s not to love?
So what do ya think of my ladder gallery???
