You see I knew the secretary for the Ryan potatoes. One farmer who grew other crops too said the price wasn’t worth the price of harvest so as a Sunday School teacher to his daughter, he said to get all I wanted. My Dad and I had fun digging them up and my Dad, an old farmer from way back had many a potato sack on hand. So to see your California potato sack so new…and unused…I wonder how someone ever collected them from around the world. To become a beautiful piece of Americana in your home. Oh please don’t think of them as just potato sacks. I think of that farmer whose potato fields sat where alas my house now sits… Kinda sad but its how times change!! And potato sacks become collectibles for art projects 🙂
