Beautiful,I would Strip the other half and stain.The wood that has been striped looks good.Don’t use a dark stain.Good luck with it what ever you do.

OH boy would I have grabbed it up, the bed is so nice. Lucky you. I passed up a real cute single bed at thrift store few weeks ago for $20 and could kick myself. I’d have left the mattress and just taken the headboard/footboard but they wouldn’t let it go that way. It was so cute to make a bench with but I didn’t have the money. Ah well better luck next time.

LOVE the bed! It’s beautiful 🙂 I’ve been looking for a bed for my guest room as well, and since this one is absolutely fabulous, I definitely would have snatched it up as well! Personally, I would strip it down to wood and stain it. Wood is timeless and lovely 🙂 Great score!
