My Christmas decoration, gift, and project making is in full effect!!! There is red, white, and green everywhere! Not to mention glitter! Oh the glitter! I have a long to-do list of projects that I want to attempt. Like every year I probably won’t get to them all. But I was able to accomplish this one!
I got the inspiration from Miss Mustard Seed last year and I am finally getting to creating my own Burlap JOY Banner!!! Well okay, it’s actually upholstery webbing but “Upholstery Webbing Joy Banner” just didn’t have the same….ring!
The first thing I did was cut an inverted V into one end of the upholstery webbing.
Then I made a bow with some cream colored satin ribbon that I had. I attached the ribbon to the top of the greenery swag. Using hot glue, I glued the ribbon topped greenery to the top of the upholstery webbing.
I cut the word “joy” out of some chipboard with my Cricut and decided that the whole project definitely needed some sparkle!
I decoupaged some silver glitter onto the chipboard letters using Mod Podge. The letters were attached to the front of the upholstery webbing using, what else? Hot glue!
Tada!!!
I love the look of the rustic burlap webbing next to the sparkly letters!
So pretty!

This is so pretty! I love it. I love the touch of burlap and the sparkly letters. I’m a new follower. I hope you’ll follow me back but no pressure!
How do you keep the webbing from turning or twisting when making the hanging, mine twist a little at the bottom.
Mine didn’t twist or curl up when making it, but it did over time. A little pressing with the iron straightened it right up!
