Googly Eye {Halloween} Frame

I just couldn’t contain myself anymore….I am just SO in the mood for some “Fall” projects!!! I had this idea floating around in my head and just couldn’t wait any longer to make it.
Wanna make a fun googly eyed Halloween frame too?
Gather your supplies:
-$1 Michael’s picture frame
-Some lime green craft paint
-Lots and lots of googly eyes
-A couple embellishments (I used ribbon and chipboard letters)
I painted the picture frame with the craft paint and started gluing the google eyes on and glued some more eyes on…..and then glued even more on. This took quite awhile!
Once all the eyes were glued on…I took a breath…and then cut “EEK” out of some chipboard with my cricut. I painted the letters the same color as the frame. I decided to attach the letters to the frame with a sparkly black piece of ribbon. Of course I didn’t have any glittery black ribbon so I just decoupaged some glitter onto some plain black ribbon.
Look at all that googly eye goodness!!!
I can’t wait to pop a picture of my kiddo’s in their Halloween costumes into the frame.
What about you, are you gearing up for Halloween yet? We’ve already bought one costume and another one has been decided on. It’s not even September yet….but I’m looking at it all as getting a jump start to the crazy busy season!!!
Linking up to these great link parties!!!

  55. I did a googly eye wreath that I linked up on the CSI Project challenge for this week too 🙂 Love your frame!

  56. I made this frame but I can not find the lettering. What size did you use and where did you get them. The smallest lettering I found was at Michaels and it took up the whole bottom of the frame and the googlie eyes would be blocked.

  57. I cut them out with my Cricut.

  58. “EYE” looooove this!
I will totally make one for my sister to use with her kids Halloween photos – Mine are all grown up 🙁

  59. Just found this on Pinterest, and was wondering what kind of glue you used? I think hot glue would melt the eyes, and Elmer’s would fall off eventually.

  60. You did such a great job I was inspired to try my own, but Aileen’s Tacky glue did not hold the eyes. Did you use hot glue or something else? Thanks!

  61. This is cute I love it. !
