Color Crush {Aqua}

If you’ve been reading along these last couple days, you know I’m laid up right now. Yesterday was a bit better, less pain and I was able to move around a bit more. I was a little less loopy and drowsy too. All I’ve really been able to do though is rest and lay down.

So I thought I would write a little love letter today. A love letter to my color crush. Aqua.

If you’ve been following along with my blog for awhile you know that I love neutral colors. We move so often that I try to keep the things in my home as versatile as possible. What might work in my dining room right now, may not work in my next dining room. Plus, moving every few years also means that it’s not financially wise to buy new every time we move. However, I have been bitten by the color bug.

Every time I would see a piece of furniture painted with a beautiful aqua color I would swoon. Every time thinking, I’m just not that brave.

Well I finally decided that I AM brave enough! I have decided to do a mini makeover on my living room. I’ve decided to have a little fun with color and see where it takes me.

  1. Beautiful photos!

  2. Doesn’t that laundry room look so fresh painted that aqua colour? That colour just screams “Clean” to me!

  3. Loving the aqua too :) Thanks for the round up! Happy Wednesday!

  4. Its a rally great color and it would give any room a great pop in color.

  5. Usually I am a barely any color kinda gal, but lately I too am loving the aqua. Feel better soon!

  6. Aqua is one of my favorites too. Being a military wife, as well, I totally know what you mean about trying to keep things neutral! We bought a house last year and it’s been fun to actually incorporate some of my favorite colors on the walls. However, I know we’ll be moving eventually, so I try to keep that in mind as I blend it all together. Hope you’re able to be up and moving soon so you can get going on this project!

  7. You and me, both! Love me some aqua!

  8. Turquoise is a personal favorite. I have been using colonial red all week, but after reading your post, I am going to go paint something turquoise!

  9. Thinking it’s completely lovely and with so many shades, it’s easy to make it work. Love the shots you’ve found to post for us. Enjoyed them and hope you’re feeling better soon.

  10. I love aqua, teal, whatever you want to call it.
    I have those jars on the top, the sugar ones. I think I might just have to spray the lids, why didn’t I think of that? That’s awesome!

  11. Nice post! I LOVE the mason jar chandalier!

    Aqua’s big in my palette too. :) I once decorated an entire room based upon the colour of a single piece of aqua glass I found while beachcombing. It turned out to be my favourit room in the whole house.

  12. Aqua is my favorite color. It’s so fresh, and calming. Loved looking at the pictures.
