A Pump {kin} of Inspiration

My brain works in mysterious ways. People point that out to my all the time. “How did you think of that?”….”How do you come up with these things?”. I can’t really explain why I come up with the things that I come up with, I don’t even really think I can take much credit for it. It’s just the way I am. I enjoy meeting (or virally meeting) other people with lots of creativity.
Recently I was inspired with some great pumpkin projects by two crafty ladies. Crafty Chic Mommy and Allison at House of Hepworth. They both did some super cute pumpkin crafts and I just couldn’t resist.
Here is a super awesome dryer vent pumpkin. DRYER VENT PUMPKIN!!! Isn’t that so cute! For those of you who maybe haven’t see this industrial pumpkin before, here is what you need: Dryer vent (purchased at your local hardware store), orange spray paint, a stem (I used cinnamon sticks, but you can use sticks or whatever you want), and a little bit of raffia. I cut and glued the vent into a donut using hot glue. Then I spray painted the whole thing, making sure to get in all the groves. Attach the cinnamon sticks and raffia, you have yourself a cute little pumpkin!
Next are these 2 x 4 pumpkins. I just love the whimsy of the rectangle pumpkins!!! These were more work than they appear….a LOT of cutting and sanding! But I love how they turned out!!!

So thanks for the inspiration ladies and I sure hope that I have inspired some people along the way!
