Now on to the good stuff………………
In the rush to buy presents for your kids, your spouse, your siblings, your friends, and your Great Aunt Mildred you may forget that one person who spends almost as much time with your kids as you do. The person who teaches your child, who nurtures and supports your child through their school year. Can you tell I think teachers are amazing???
I wanted to make them something fun and personal! Somewhere in blogland I saw where they decorated clipboards and I knew this would be a terrific idea!!!
Those are so cute!
Your clipboards are super cute! I am sure your daughters teachers will love them!
that is such a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing this
What a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing these.
Awww…. that’s really sweet! I’m a 2nd grade teacher and it’s great to know that there are parents out there who appreciate us. Oh and let me tell you they are going to absolutely LOVE the clipboards. I know I love the one I have and I use it all the time.
Oh goodness, these are so cute. I love the apples!
I’ve been wanting to make one of those clipboards for the longest time. Your fantastic blog has finally inspired me to get started! Thank you 🙂
Super great idea! I am a kindergarten teacher and I know I would love a gift like this. I placed a picture of this project and a link to your website on my blog (I just started it so its small yet!), if that’s okay with you! These are just so cute, I have to make one for myself and my other Kindergarten teacher buddies.
These look awesome and I will definitely have to make one for myself and my other team members! How did you get the paper to lie flat around the clip?
@ Lauren: The clip comes off. So once I had the paper attached and the Mod Podge dry I re-attached the clip.
That looks amazing!! What size paper did you use and what type? I want to make one of these for my son’s teacher, she would just love it!!
My best friend is a teacher so I love looking at DIY teacher gift ideas. Money will be tight this Christmas so I’d love to be able to hand make a lot of gifts.
Just wanted to let you know I’m linking to this post today! =)
These look great and I think its a brilliant idea. Im in the process of making a couple for my kids. Just thought I’d share another idea you can do with them and that is first paint them with magnetic paint before decorating. That way you can put magnets onto it as well. jackie
That’s really sweet and nice gift ideas i like it.
Just a suggestion, but if you decorate the back of the clip board instead of the front, the recipient gets to enjoy your artwork even when the board is in use. Super cute!
How did you get the paper under the clip part?
Theresa, I removed the clip before decorating the clipboard. There are screws on the back that make it easy to take off. I suggest letter the mod podge dry completely before reattaching the clip.
Where did you get the clipboards from? I bought some from Staples yesterday and I don’t think the clips come off….Thanks! Bought all my stuff yesterday and attempting to make some 🙂
