This past weekend I attended the Remnants of the Past show. As usual, it was amazing! Honestly if I had a uhaul with me I would of come home with a truck load…..oh ya and gobs of disposable income! So I’m gonna give you all that weren’t able to attend, a little tour and share the things I did buy.
Look at all that typography goodness! They had amazing subway art and industrial stools!
I fell in love with these doily’s in embroidery hoops. So beautiful and vintagey!!!!
Some of the booths were over the top incredible! This booth was indoors and had actual sod laid out for the floor covering. Actual real grass. Incredible!
One trend that I saw repeatedly was industrial chic. Lots of industrial items that once held practical purposes.
I would have LOVED to take either of these two items home with me! This set of lockers was callin my name….LOUDLY! I just couldn’t swing the price. I just kept thinking about how awesome it would be in my home and for all my kid’s crap stuff.
Now on to my finds……
I picked up what I guess is some chippy white old molding, that will make a great shelf. I also grabbed an old enamel street sign.
I also found an old French book and what else? A sheet music book of course!
So since I didn’t walk away with a truck load I obviously was still feeling the urge to do some thrifty shopping!
My closest Goodwill is super tiny, so I was thrilled to find out that they were moving to a larger store. I of course had to check it out for myself. MAN that thing is HUGE now! Can you tell I’m happy???
I was super excited to spot these shelving mounts. They are pretty dirty and definitely need some tlc, but they will be perfect for my upcoming living room makeover! They were under $2 each!!!
I also scored these 3 ornate picture frames! They’re always on my list and at $1.50 each, I snatched these puppies up! Can’t wait to get some paint on these beauties!!!

I am SO jealous!! I wish they had something like Remnants of the Past around here!!! The closest thing I get to that is going through my MIL’s old barn – and she’s such a hoarder she won’t even let me take anything!! Oh well, I’ll just live vicariously through you.

Courtney, So glad you were able to make it to Remnants. I see that you came home with a sign, it may or may not have been from our space. I was sorta looking for people that I “know” through blogs and Facebook, but it was sooo busy that it was hard to do. Anyway, I hope that if next time you come through, we can get a pic together. Wow, that little street sign is right up my alley. I am so glad you took us along as you shopped. I would have loved to have been able to buy some of those industrial items. I can only imagine how much they cost. Thanks for bringing the show to us. I enjoyed it and still have money left and no extra treasures that I have to find a place for.

I absolutely love the photos! I would want a U-haul for all that stuff to. Where I live in Lakeland, FL we have the Fancy Flea come to our downtown district about a month ago and everything was so fabulous. I’ll have to take pics next time around!
