Summertime Starfish Banner

Summer is in full swing and I am loving the slow pace of things. NOT!!! It actually seems like summer has been more hectic than the school year. I think with the school year there is more schedules and predictability. We are, however, loving trips to the beach and warmer days! I wanted to create something that had that simple summer feel, so I came up with my Summertime Starfish Banner.
I so love me some upholstery webbing and decided that it would be fabulous for this project. I cut the black striped upholstery webbing into 5 pennant banner shapes and strung them up with some twine.
I thought about using real starfish, but I found these fake ones at Michael’s that were cheaper and less fragile. I glued the starfish to the webbing pieces with some handy dandy hot glue.
I love the crisp white starfish against the burlap webbing. My Summertime Starfish Banner honestly feels like the beach to me.
Linking up to these great link parties!!!
