I got home late last night from Louisiana. I was there on a house hunting trip because we are PCSing (permanent change of station for the non-military folks) there this summer.
It was a very successful trip, we made an offer and it has been accepted! This has all been a huge learning experience for me that’s for sure. Not only have we never bought a house, but I was doing it all by myself since my hubby is currently deployed.
I know many of you were asking for pictures…so now that we are officially moving forward with everything I wanted to share a photo of our soon to be new home! I just love it! I am still feeling anxious about getting through the escrow process but I am so thrilled to have finally bought our first home! It’s so beautiful, I can’t wait to move in!!!
I’ll be back in the posting swing of things SOON!!!!
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!

Awesome! What part of Louisiana? I live in Baton Rouge! You can check out my blog here http://fleur-de-life.blogspot.com/ — I often post about things to do in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas.
Emily, it’s in North Bossier City.
Since it’s for non-military folk, does that mean your husband is getting out of the military?
I love, love it!!
Nope, I just wanted to explain what PCS meant for the non-military folks out there. My hubby plans to stay in as long as he can!!! Thank you so much!!!
Beautiful! Reminds me of our neighborhood in North Bossier.
Amy, what neighborhood are you in?
