The weather here the past few days have been wonderful! Sunny and warm. Hallelujah! So the family decided that we needed to soak up some of those rays! Once outside I was reminded that my flower gardens were in dire need of some attention. Off to Lowes we went! I spotted these amazing black urns in the garden center for under $12! I was immediately inspired to create these Tiered Urn Flower Pots.
It was really quite simple to create these blooming urns, as long as you’re ready to get your hands dirty. Here’s how I made them….
Step 1: Collect all your containers. 2 urns, 2 top containers, and 2 cheap containers (these don’t have to be pretty, no one will see them)
Step 2: Place the cheap containers upside down inside the urns and place the top containers on them.
Step 3: Fill potting soil in the urn, around the cheap containers and in the top containers.
Step 4: Plant your flowers in the soil.
Pretty simple right? For such a simple project it really makes a beautiful statement!
They sit on either side of my front porch, welcoming guests as they come in. I choose all shade and part sun tolerant plants because the spot that these urns will reside gets little to no sun throughout the day.
I bought these bright beautiful turquoise pots because I loved the color. Awesome bonus? They match wonderfully with my adirondack chairs. I love when things come together!
I’ve never really considered myself to have a green thumb, but I sure do love to arrive home to beautiful blooming flowers! Here’s hoping these not only survive, but they thrive. These Tiered Urn Flower Pots were super simple to make, they make a great weekend project!
