That is a very classy and beautiful way to make a wreath… and it does make me long for spring.
Great idea! Love that you painted the insects!

I love it!! I have never used moss like that but have a small stash of it that I got from someone and have been debating what to use it on. I might have to make a small one of these. I have a small wreath form that it would work on!
Gorgeous… was thinking of something to put on my door… but you are right, it will probably end up inside where I can gaze lovingly at it and be WARM!!! Do you think it would look odd to do a wreath like that with three feet of snow on the ground? We just got a huge dump of snow… four days straight!!! I NEED some spring 🙂
Very pretty!
OMG that is just so beautiful. Great job and I love how you painted the insects! Thanks so much for sharing, Vicky
So pretty and unique! Come on Spring!!
Oh, this is so getting me in the mood for spring. Lovely!
It is so beautiful! Thanks for some great inspiration!
This wreath is beautiful! I love how you painted the wildlife to make it more subdued looking.
I love it so much I ended up featuring it on my blog here: http://creativecarissa.blogspot.com/2011/03/countdown-to-spring-front-door-decor.html
Found this on Tatertots and Jello’s linky party. LOOOVE it. I’ve been wanting to do a wreath with moss forever. Martha Stewart did one once with live moss! This looks fantastic. Love the little birdie nests. I love the different colors and textures of moss you used and that you painted those butterflies! So perfect for Spring. 🙂
so cute! I just made a similar moss wreath as well!
This is beautiful. I hope it helps melt away your snow.
@ Jenni: Well we are on the California Central Coast so no snow now…but plenty of cold, foggy, rainy days to wish away!!! : )

How sweet and springy! I like how you painted the butterflies. I’ve done the same to birds, but I have never bought the butterflies because those things are so tacky at the store most of the time. Looks like one day I’ll have to find a way to use the butterflies too.
Your adorable wreath has been featured on my “Tuesday Tutorials” blog post on 3/8/11. Thanks so much for the great tutorial!

This is so lovely. The colors and texture are fun…but my favorite part are the nests.
Very classy! I’ve seen other moss wreaths, but I love the look of this one. I also like that you painted the dragon flies and butterflies for a natural look – it’s springy and whimsical, but sophisticated.
