Glass Cleaner

Ok, so I know this isn’t really a craft but I wanted to share it with you all anyways. We were out of glass cleaner and I was mixing up a new batch when I thought that maybe others would find this recipe useful! I am trying to cut back on the amount of harsh chemicals that I bring into the house. With most traditional household cleaners I find myself feeling sick from the chemicals and I hate to think of that being around my kids. So one of the ways that I am doing this (and saving money while reducing waste) is to make my own glass/window cleaner.

Supplies:
1/4 Cup Vinegar
1/2 Teaspoon Liquid Soap (I use Dr Bronner’s Castile Soap)
2 Cups Water
1/4 Teaspoon Lemon EO (This works as an antibacterial, anti fungal, and a antimicrobial)
I just mix all that up together and pour it into a spray bottle that I bought at the $1 store. This bottle can be used over and over again so that you are not buying a new spray bottle every time you need more glass cleaner. Also if you run out, you just mix up a batch and be on your way!
When using this for the first few times you may notice that your surface might become a little foggy. This is because the glass cleaner is cleaning off the residue left from your commercial glass cleaners.
Happy Cleaning!!!

I just read an article that quoted Dr. Bonner’s, saying not to use the castile liquid soap and vinegar together, because they cancel each other out and make the cleaner useless. Have you read anything related to this finding?
