Ok, so I know this isn’t really a craft but I wanted to share it with you all anyways. We were out of glass cleaner and I was mixing up a new batch when I thought that maybe others would find this recipe useful! I am trying to cut back on the amount of harsh chemicals that I bring into the house. With most traditional household cleaners I find myself feeling sick from the chemicals and I hate to think of that being around my kids. So one of the ways that I am doing this (and saving money while reducing waste) is to make my own glass/window cleaner.
Wow, cool! I’ve always heard that vinegar can be used to clean anything, but I wasn’t sure about windows. This is so easy! Thanks for sharing.
Awesome, I over from Tater tots and jello, I bet this works on things other than glass also! Where do you get the Dr. Bronners and lemon EO? I really need to make some of this!
Thanks for posting this. I’d be interested where to find the other ingredients too. Now my mission will be to find a beautiful spray bottle!
where do u purchase your essential oils?
Here is the EO that I use: http://www.auracacia.com/dspCmnPrd.php?p=t&cn=Lemon&ct=anpceoeo&i=y&br=Aura Cacia
I usually buy these items at a local natural foods store called Lassen’s and you can actually order online here: http://www.lassens.com/retailer/store_templates/shell_id_1.asp?storeID=V92HGBD7X6SR2LR60G03N0ET9MR4BDF3
I will have to try this! I too am taking chemicals out of my house and clean with vinegar all the time. Thanks for the recipe!
I just read an article that quoted Dr. Bonner’s, saying not to use the castile liquid soap and vinegar together, because they cancel each other out and make the cleaner useless. Have you read anything related to this finding?
